Reporting to the Recreation & Retail Services Manager, the Recreation Leader plays a key role in delivering engaging, safe, and inclusive recreational programming for guests of all ages. This seasonal, entry-level role supports indoor and outdoor activities, special events, and youth programming while fostering a fun, welcoming, and community-focused environment.

Responsibilities

•  Set up, facilitate, and take down equipment and materials for recreational programs and events
• Lead and support a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including games, arts and crafts, and social programming
• Supervise and engage children, families, and adults in a safe and inclusive manner
• Provide friendly, professional guest service and promote scheduled activities
• Respond to guest inquiries and concerns, escalating issues to the Recreation Manager when required
• Maintain accurate attendance records, waivers, and guest surveys
• Keep information boards and communication books up to date
• Attend required meetings, orientations, and training sessions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe recreation environment
• Properly care for and report needs related to equipment and supplies
• Support special events and holiday programming
• Represent the Recreation Department with professionalism and positivity
• Direct guests to additional resort recreation programs and amenities 

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiasm for recreation, leisure, and working with people of all ages
• Attention to detail and strong work ethic
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Physical ability to perform repetitive motions such as bending, lifting, and using stairs
• Experience working with children or in guest service is an asset (not required)
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to regular attendance
