Tigh-Na-Mara Resort is a premier oceanfront resort nestled in the heart of Vancouver Island, offering guests a tranquil escape surrounded by natural beauty. With a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences, we are seeking a dedicated and motivated Marketing Manager to join our team.

Rate of Pay                      $62-$68K annually

  • Temporary/Full Time - Maternity Leave Coverage
  • In office 5 days per week, 9am-5pm (some flex on start time)
  • Plus benefits/Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for the term and 2 weeks vacation time. Potential for term to be extended.

The Role

As the Marketing Manager, you will work closely with the Director, Sales & Marketing to lead our Marketing initiatives.  You will be responsible to promote Tigh-Na-Mara across multiple channels, develop creative and innovative campaigns, and increase our visibility and following. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing content, developing our newsletter, managing social media platforms, and coordinating photography for various marketing campaigns and outsourcing where appropriate. Develop and manage excellent relationships both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will have a strong marketing background, an eye for detail, and a passion for creating content that engages and resonates with our target audience and stays ahead of trends in the marketplace.

THE Responsibilities include
(but are not limited to) 
  • Oversee one marketing team member, Marketing Coordinator
  • Review existing marketing strategies and ensure their continuation or adapt them based on current goals
  • Work with the Executive Team to develop short-term marketing campaigns to meet immediate business objectives
  • Create visually appealing content for various channels such as print, digital, social media, and email
  • Manage social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, creating engaging content,
    scheduling posts, and monitoring performance
  • Coordinate and catalogue high-quality photographs for use in marketing campaigns and collateral
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors and 3rd party marketing company
  • Watch KPI’s to provide reporting and make adjustments to strategies as needed
  •  
education and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in marketing or communications, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, graphic design, social media management
  • Experience in photography an asset but not required
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience managing social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, take direction, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in the hospitality or resort industry is a plus.
