Job Summary

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Assistant Server provides essential front-of-house support within Cedars Restaurant and Lounge. This role supports a seamless and elevated experience by maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and service readiness of the restaurant, lounge, and seasonal patio.

Working collaboratively with the service team, the Assistant Server anticipates guest and operational needs, supports efficient and attentive service, and upholds Tigh-Na-Mara’s high hospitality standards.

responsibilities

• Support Servers and other front-of-house Team Members in delivering exceptional, efficient, and attentive guest service.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests genuinely and professionally throughout the dining areas.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly to maintain service flow and ensure tables are guest ready.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the restaurant, lounge, seasonal patio, and service areas.
• Assist with beverage refills, table maintenance, and other guest needs throughout service.
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked service stations, including glassware, napkins, and other service supplies.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with Servers and other Team Members to anticipate service needs and support a seamless dining experience.
• Assist with maintaining guest-facing areas and materials to ensure a clean, welcoming, and professional presentation.
• Follow established food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and service standards.
• Identify and report cleanliness, maintenance, safety, or operational concerns to restaurant leadership.
• Contribute to a positive, professional, and respectful team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience is considered an asset.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a genuine approach to guest service.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate guest and service needs.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a positive, professional approach in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to take direction and respond positively to feedback.
• Ability to learn and follow established food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and service standards.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of the position.
• Full or part-time flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
